It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our Fearless Leader, Mark Littell – aka Captain Ramrod (1953-2022).

Mark made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Who would have thought that this Country Boy from the Bootheel of Missouri would grow up to be an amazing MLB Pitcher, playing for the Kansas City Royals and the St. Louis Cardinals? He made his MLB debut in 1973 at the age of 20 and went on to win a World Series Championship with the Cardinals right before his retirement in 1982 at the age of 29. The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame was proud to induct Littell with the Class of 2016.

Littell went on to coach minor league baseball for 18 years for the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Brewers. He also coached internationally in Australia, the Dominican Republic and Panama. From his many years spent in baseball, he took his knowledge and experience and went ahead and invented the best damn sports cup to protect those family jewels – The NuttyBuddy. Mark brought his dedication and larger-than-life personality to NuttyBuddy, and whether he was making humorous videos or doing interviews, he let the world know that his NuttyBuddy was just as strong and fearless as he was.

However, baseball wasn't his only passion. Mark also authored three must-read books: On the Eighth Day-God Made Baseball, Country Boy: Conveniently Wild, and most recently What's Up Ramrod? These titles definitely give you an inclination of his funny and spirited character. He had a passion for traveling all over the world coaching and mentoring our youth. He loved helping everyone and giving back to our communities, especially our wounded veterans and the Wake Foundation. In his 69 years on this earth, he made caring for others look so effortless.

But what Mark will most be remembered for is his strength and grit, his goofy infectious smile, his humongous heart, and his love for God and Baseball! That is how God blessed Mark and graced him with the gift of touching hearts and leaving a lasting effect on everyone he met.
